Wilton Retreat

Digital Explorers Community Initiative Retreat 23-25 October

There are three exciting areas of interest which will be explored during the Digital Explorers Community Initiative Retreat at Wilton

There are several reasons why this retreat has been planned and organised.

At times there will probably be two workshops going on simultaneously during some of the sessions. This is because some haven’t learnt the basics of what the Digital Explorers Community initiative is all about and might like to be brought up to date with what the initiative is all about. We’ll be holding interactive workshops to teach the basic skills of the online world, especially the Google platform and Cloud technology. Those who already have digital skills can share them with those who require training if they want.

Drawing attention to community development within the BK family, their friends and associates. This includes highlighting the ethics and etiquette needed to engage collectively in this ongoing learning process through developing an environment of safety in which to learn, based on respect for self and others.

Exploring new and exciting ways in which our  technological and social learnings, our new found confidence and collective energies can enhance existing service plans and create new ways of presenting our example of community to the world.

What's the aim of this Retreat? What do we hope to achieve?

It's rare to get people, who live at such distances, together these days so we want to be sure we don't waste your time

Firstly, in order to meet together, face-to-face and enjoy each others company in a beautiful environment.

The success of this project rests on us and our ability to take the initiative and contribute our skills and talents for the greater good. As the Governor said recently:

“Doctors always have knowledge of general illnesses, but, some also become well-known for specialising in a particular illness. Similarly, you children have to become full of all virtues, yet you will continue to move forward by experiencing one particular speciality and using that for service. Saraswati is known as the Goddess of Knowledge and Lakshmi is worshipped as the Goddess of Wealth. In the same way, even though you have all virtues and all powers, research one virtue or power in particular and become influential in that.” (23/1/80)

Secondly to teach those who haven’t done the Digital Explorer’s Workshop, so as they are up to speed with the rest of us. We’ll be inspiring those who have done the workshop but haven’t taught it to have ago and teach others.

What would you like to happen?

What would you like to take away from the retreat?
